A high scoring game on Thursday saw the Lotte Giants come back from a six-run deficit to defeat the LG Twins 15-10. The game gave them their second win in their home series at the Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan, South Korea.
Early Runs Put Giants Ahead
The Giants got ahead with three runs after a home run was hit by Jeon Jun-woo in the first inning. A fourth run came in the third inning off the bat of Lee Dae-ho, who drove home a runner.
Twins Get To 10 Runs
A powerful three innings from the Twins put them ahead for a short period of time. It kicked off in the fourth with a solo home run from Lee Hyung-jong.
In the fifth inning, the Twins put down five runs, taking the lead in the game. First was hits from Oh Ji-hwan and Kim Hyun-soo that scored a run each.
After this, Giants starter Jang Won-sam was taken out of the game. A fielder’s choice play from Lee Hyung-jong scored another run. Against reliever Lee In-bok a hit from Yoo Kang-nam scored two runs before the inning ended.
Kim Dae-woo pitched at the start of the sixth inning for the Giants but was pulled following a few batters due to hurting a leg after landing awkwardly during a pitch.
Replacing him was Park Shi-young for the rest of the inning. The first batter he faced was Kim Hyun-soo, who drove home two runs. A sacrifice fly from Roberto Ramos in the next at-bat scored the ninth run for the Twins.
Park had trouble finishing the inning, allowing another run to be forced home due to a walk before getting the third out. Park was given the win for his performance
Giants Return With Han In The Spotlight Again
Despite being down by six runs, the Giants were able to battle back and take the lead in the sixth inning. The long inning saw the Giants score seven runs and get back ahead.
A hit from Dixon Machado scored the first run. The next batter, Kim Joon-tae was walked, forcing home another run. After a double from Jung Hoon took home another two, starter Jung Chan-heon was taken out of the game.
Against Yeo Geon-wook, Han Dong-hee drilled a ball into the left-field stands, scoring three runs and putting the team ahead 11-10. Yeo was given the loss for the game due to this play, making it his second of the year.
This continued the streak of strong showings Han has put on lately, having scored 13 RBIs in his last six games.
The team tacked on insurance runs, scoring four more times over the course of the seventh and eighth inning.
Heading Separate Ways For The Weekend
The Giants will start their weekend series tomorrow, travelling to face the Samsung Lions for a three-game series. The Giants have gone 2-4 this year against the Lions.
The Bears will continue their road trip when they head to Gwangju to face the Kia Tigers. They have put up an impressive 5-1 record against the Bears this season.

Early runs for the KT Wiz helped give them a 4-1 win over the Hanhwa Eagles.
Although their starter Chris Flexen was pulled after an inning due to injury, the Doosan Bears were able to get a 4-2 win against the SK Wyverns.
Early innings saw the NC Dinos gain a large lead that they could coast off of in the second half of the game against the SK Wyverns. Winning 9-1, the Dinos bumped the Heroes down to third in the KBO, being overtaken by the Bears.
A back-and-forth game came down to the final inning, where Kang Min-ho drove in the deciding run to give the Samsung Lions a 8-7 win against the Kia Tigers.
