The LG Twins picked up a near shutout victory of 9-1 over the Lotte Giants on Thursday. The victory, lead by starting pitcher Tyler Wilson, saw the team hold the Giants scoreless for eight innings.
The win for the Twins came at their home ballpark, the Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, South Korea.
Twins Get Ahead Against Seo
The Twins gained their lead in the first two innings of the game against starting pitch Seo Jun-won.
Their first run was in the second, as a ground ball from Yoo Kang-nam took a runner home.
The third inning saw the team put down four more runs to their name. After hits from Kim Hyun-soo and Park Young-taik took home a run each, Lee Chun-woong hit a two-run home run to make the game 5-0.

Seo was pulled from the game during the fourth inning. His performance gave him a loss, taking his 2020 record to 7-5.
A drama-free start for Twins pitcher Tyler Wilson earned him his ninth win of the season. Wilson went seven innings, allowing only six hits.
Grand Slam Extends Lead
After earning one RBI in the third inning, Kim returned in the seventh to hit a grand slam home run for the Twins, giving the team a 9-0 lead. The home run came against Jin Myung-ho, who was only responsible for one of the runners getting on base before.
The sole run for the Giants came late, as Han Dong-hee brought Min Byung-hun to home with a hit. The run came against Choi Dong-hwan, who pitched the rest of the game after Wilson’s exit following the seventh inning.
Twins To Host Giants on Friday
The Twins will host the Giants again on Friday, with the game’s first pitch scheduled for 6:30PM KST (5:30AM EDT). The teams will see each other frequently in the final five weeks of the KBO season, with six more games scheduled between them in the next four weeks.
