Home runs for the SK Wyverns gave them a 3-1 win over the Lotte Giants on Sunday, giving the team the two-game sweep at home.

The Wyverns finished their week of play on a four-game winning streak, with their weekend series against the Giants happening at their home ballpark, the Incheon SK Happy Dream Stadium in Incheon, South Korea.

Runs In Fourth, Fifth Decide Game

While the Giants lost the game, they were the first to score. They got up by one run in the fourth inning after a sacrifice fly ball from Dixon Machado drove Jeon Jun-woo home.

The Wyverns took the lead later in the inning, as Choi Jeong hit a two-run home run, taking home runner Oh Tae-gon.

A solo home run from Choi Hang in the fifth inning gave the Wyvverns the 3-1 lead they were able to hold on to.

Giving up the three runs in the game, Giants starter Park Se-woong was given the loss for the game. His seven-inning stint, a number of innings he only lasted one other time this season, saw him allow four hits and one walk. His 2020 record is now 7-7.

The win went to Ricardo Pinto, who played six innings for the Wyverns. The win was his first since early July, with his 11 appearances since then resulting in eight losses.

The save went to Kim Se-hyun, who played in the ninth inning for the Wyverns. The save was his first of the year.
