Heroes Bounce Back With Walk-Off Win Over Giants

The Kiwoom Heroes won a 4-3 game over the Lotte Giants on Wednesday, ending with walk-off fashion after a ninth inning hit from Lee Jung-hoo brought in the deciding run.

The win for the Heroes was a bounce back from Tuesday’s loss, coming from the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, Korea.

Jeon Puts Three on The Board

The Giants gained a short lead early, with the first run brought in the first inning, as a ground ball from Jeon Jun-woo brought Son Ah-seop home.

Giving Jeon two more RBIs, the Giants left fielder hit a two-run home run in the third inning.

Heroes Make Comeback

The Heroes started to answer back in the fourth inning, with a batting rally ending with a hit from Lee Ji-young that scored two runs.

Giants starter Seo Jun-won exited the game shortly after, finishing after allowing two runs and four hits.

The game moved back to even in the eighth inning after Kim Ha-seong drove in a run.

The deciding run in the ninth inning off the bat of Lee came against Lee In-bok, who was given the loss for the game.

Yang Hyun, who closed the game for for the Heroes, was given his third win of the year.

Series Tied Heading Into Thursday

The Heroes remain tied with the Kia Tigers for fourth place in the KBO, both with a record of 21-17.

Tied at a game a piece, the Heroes will host the Giants once more this week. First pitch for their Thursday game begins is at 6:30PM KST (5:30AM EDT).

A hit from Choi Hyung-woo was the deciding run for the Kia Tigers, who defeated the top-ranked NC Dinos 7-6.

A lopsided performance went to the LG Twins, who got their second-straight win over the Hanhwa Eagles.

Taking their second game in the series, the Samsung Lions won 6-3 game over the Doosan Bears.

Going into extra innings, the KT Wiz were able to get two runs in, defeating the SK Wyverns 6-4.
