Giants Prevail In Pitching Battle With Heroes

It was the pitchers who were the focus on Sunday, as the Lotte Giants took a 2-0 win over the Kiwoom Heroes. The game saw 13 hits in total, with only four coming from the Heroes.

The shutout win for the Giants closed their series two-games-to-one against the Heroes at the Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan, Korea.

Both Teams Show Strong Pitching

Giants starter Seo Jun-won was taken out in the seventh inning, leaving after giving up three runs overall. Three pitchers, including closer Kim Won-joong, who was given the save, appeared after.

Despite the loss, Heroes had a good showing on the mound as well. Starter Choi Won-tae allowed only five hits in his six-inning appearance.

Giants Bring In Two Runs

The Giants gained the lead in the third inning, with a hit from Min Byung-hun allowing Dixon Machado to come from second base to home.

Fast-forward to the eighth inning, the Giants scored their second and last run of the game, with pinch hitter An Chi-hong driving in Shin Bon-gi. The run came against Oh Ju-won, who was brought in for only the final out of the game after Lee Young-joon faced five batters in the inning.
